Feathery leaves, white umbrella type flowers which are an important food source for beneficial insects. The green leaves are used in curries, salads, pesto, chutneys and salsa, the seeds are dry-roasted and used in curries, pickles and soups. In folk medicine use for relief of anxiety and insomnia. Sow seeds where you want them to remain as coriander is sensitive to transplanting. Sow in spring. Seeds will germinate within 2 weeks. When seedlings are 4-5cm high thin them down. Grow well in containers that are at lest 15 cm deep.
